Beverly Joyce "Bev" Switzer was born on February 15, 1947, in Richland to Raymond Wallace Switzer and Doris Mae Johnson Switzer.

Bev attended Jason Lee Grade School, Chief Jo Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1965 from Richland's Columbia High School. She furthered her education by attending Washington State University in Pullman.

Her sister, Janet Switzer, graduated in 1970 from Richland's Columbia High School.

Bev married Roger Terry McKown on September 1, 1973, at Central United Protestant Church in Richland. To this union two children were born.

She passed away at the age of 74 in Tumwater, WA on September 9, 2021.
