ARTHUR "DENNIS" MUIR ~ Class of 1965
January 1, 1946 - September 30, 2023



Dennis Muir was born in Osborn, MO on January 1, 1946. He passed away at the age of 77 in Pasco on September 30, 2023.

He began school in Benton City and soon moved to West Richland where his family built their home.

Dennis was a member of the Class of 1965 at Richland's Columbia High School.

After high school, he joined the U. S. Navy and, after an honorable discharge, he became a member of Union Local #598 and worked as a pipe fitter until he retired.

His first marriage brought him his two daughters, Danielle and Laura. He married again in 2004 to Darcy. They lived in West Richland.

Dennis enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a gifted mechanic and turned many cars into hot rods. He loved his old Valiant station wagon that he equipped with Nitrous Oxide. He also enjoyed building and flying airplanes.

In 2008 he began to develop Dementia which eventually ended his years.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Olga and Lyman Muir; and by his younger brother, Larry Muir.

He is survived by his wife, Darcy; his sister, Penny; his daughters, Danielle and Laura; his stepdaughter, Lynsey; and his grandson, Grant. Our family has recently learned he also has a son, Emmett.
