Services for Gayle Macintosh Abbey, 21, were held on Wednesday, October 16, 1968 at St. Vincent's Church in Salem, OR. She died unexpectedly on Friday, October 11, 1968 at Fort St. Hauchuca, AZ of an unknown cause.

Gayle was born August 15, 1947 in Portland, OR to Mr. and Mrs. Gerrard Macintosh of Richland.

She attended Kennewick and Richland schools, graduating with the Class of 1965 from Richland's Columbia High School.

Survivors include her husband, Darrell; daughter, Deanna (age two) of Fort St. Hauchuca; sisters: Donna Jordan and Geri Cunningham of Milwaukie, OR and Jean Wallen of Longview, WA; step-brother, Larry VanVleck of Pendleton, OR; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Macintosh of Cando, ND.
