THOMAS L. "TOMMY"/"TOM" HAMMER ~ Class of 1965
August 1, 1946 ~ January 11, 1969

Services were conducted at Powers Funeral Home in Sumner, WA for Thomas L. Hammer, age 22, of Sumner.

Mr. Hammer, who was born August 1, 1946 in Richland, had lived in Sumner for the last two years. He died at his home Saturday, January 11, 1969.

A former member of Westside United Protestant Church, he lived in Richland for 20 years. Tommy was a member of the Class of 1965 at Richland's Columbia High School.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; son, Donald; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen O. Hammer; sisters: Glenna ('66), Cynthia ('68) and Marilyn ('70), all of Richland; grandparents: Florence Hammer, and Mr. and Mrs. John L. Crass, all of Richland; and cousins: Joe Jones "Winterhawk" ('58), Patti Jones Ahrens ('60) and Nina Jones Rowe ('65).

The family requests any memorial be made to a trust fund for his son, Donald Glen Hammer, c/o of Helen Luke at Seattle-First National Bank in Richland or to the Richland Little League c/o of Tom Owen, 1610 Goethals in Richland.

His mother, Genie, passed away March 9, 2000.

His cousin, Joe ('58), passed away March 23, 2007.

His cousin, Patti ('60), passed away June 5, 2012.
