JAMES ROLAND "JIM" DIZMANG ~ Class of 1965
January 11, 1946 - May 10, 2018

Jim Dizmang-

Jim Dizmang, 72, of Kennewick, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Rosetta Assisted Living. This last year was his hardest.

James was born in Yakima on January 11, 1946, and lived in Wapato and West Richland for his early years and graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1965. He had lived in West Richland, Kennewick, Pasco, Wenatchee and Southern California.

His primary occupations were Barber and Contractor. He started with West Side Barber shop in Pasco in the 60's. He was capable of fixing anything on a house and became a General Contractor in the 70's. Jim was self-employed for most of his life and was owner/operator of Finished Works Construction Company. Near the end of his career he specialized in Commercial Door Installations.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and really liked fixing RC planes that he had just flown. He also loved fast old cars and knew many tricks to make them faster. He was always giving of his time to help others and loved to laugh with friends and family. He will be missed.

When things in life seem to work out in ways you could hardly believe, he would always call that a "God Thing".

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Linda (Boynton) Dizmang; parents, Rollie Dizmang and Faye O'Hara; and his brother, Larry Dizmang ('60 honorary), who passed away on May 31, 2008.

Jim is survived by his son, Neal (Janessa) Dizmang; his stepsons with Linda: Matt, Mike, and Steve Boynton; his stepsons with Irene Llewellyn, Greg and Brett Wolfe; his nieces: Dawn Belote and Sondra (Frank) Steele; and grandchildren: Sam, Katrina, Emma and Madison.

A Celebration of Life gathering was held at Hawthorne Park, next to Rosetta Assisted Living, Fisher St., on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 11:00 am.
