Jack Amos

Services were conducted Wednesday in Seattle for Jack D. Amos, 28, of Seattle. He died Saturday, February 7, 1976, after falling in a mountain climbing accident on Mt. St. Helen's. His wife, Judi, also died in the accident.

Jack was born in Portland on September 1, 1947, to Lawrence C. and Rowean Blacker Amos. He attended schools in Richland with the Class of 1965 before moving to Longview, WA where he graduated from Mark Morris High School.

He graduated from WSU in Pullman.

Jack was a chemical engineer for Weyerhaeuser in Seattle.

He married Judith Ann "Judi" Elliott on June 7, 1970, in Cowlitz, WA.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. C. (Bud) Amos of Longview, WA; his sister, Louise Jensen of Springfield, UT; his brother, Larry W. Amos of Seattle; his grandfather, William J. Blacker of Longview; Judi's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Elliott of Seattle; and Judi's grandmother, Cornelia Elliott of Conrad, MT.

Joint funeral services for Jack and Judi were held at the Acacia Funeral Home in Seattle with interment at Acacia Memorial Park Cemetery.
