George David Aasal, 63, passed away February 8, 2011 in Seattle. He was born May 7, 1947 in Richland, but had been a long time resident of West Seattle.

He attended Spalding Grade School, Carmichael Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1965 from Richland's Columbia High School.

George is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kay Evey; his son, Mark Aasal of Bellingham; and his sister, Barbara Aasal Forbes ('57) of Drummond, MT.

He worked for the Boeing Company for over 35 years and is remembered as a family man who liked his job and loved his music.

There was a small private service for family and friends where his ashes were scattered. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the theater, art, music venue, scholarship or charity of your choice.
